The Maspalomas International Carnival 2022 will take place in June in Playa del Inglés from the 9th to the 19th. This year the festivities will be themed around “La Magía”, Magic and Mystery. Here is the complete official program, with 10 days of fun, parties and parades.

All events are held at the Yumbo Shopping Center’s main stage (unless otherwise stated), and are  free.

Thursday, June 9th

· 16h30 : Announcement Parade: Lively street parades announcing start of the carnival.

· 21h00 : Candidates Presentation-Gala

Friday, June 10th

· 20h30 : Election of the Grand Dame of Carnival-Gala (Senior Queen)

· 23h00 : Mogollón party

Saturday, June 11th

· 20h30 : Election of the Child Queen

· 23h00 : Mogollón party

Sunday, June 12th

· 21h30 : Carnival Queen Gala (Election of the Carnival Queen)

Monday, June 13th

· 19h00 : Gala without barriers (Election)

Tuesday, June 14th

· 20h30 : Body painting-contest

Wednesday, June 15th

· 17h00 : Canine Carnival

Thursday, June 16th

· 21h30 : Drag Queen Gala and contest, The jury will assess the creativity, originality, elaboration of the costumes, and interpretation and staging (choreography, playback, and humour), among other aspects.

· 23h00 : Mogollón, after party

Friday, June 17th “DAY OF THE TOURIST”

· 12h00 : rescue of the sardine at the beach. (Maspalomas Beach – Playa del Inglés)

 · 21h00 : Tourist Gala (Election) (back at Yumbo)

· 23h00 : Mogollón party

Saturday, June 18th

· 17h00 : The Great parade

The departure of the main parade where thousands and thousands of attendees depart from the front of the Hotel Parque Tropical. It will continue along the Avenida de Italia, Avenida de Gran Canaria and end at the Avenida del Turoperador Tui.

· 22h00 : Mogollón party

Sunday, June 19th

· 20h00 : Reading of the last testament

· 20h30 : Burial of the Sardine and fireworks
